Journalism and Communications

Since I started studying Journalism at the School of Communication of the Universidad de Sevilla (Spain) in 2002, I have been collaborating with and publishing in different media outlets, online magazines and blogs.

Most of my pieces are written in Spanish and they focus on social, cultural and artistic themes. I have contributed in both local and foreign media services, including Andalusian newspaper EuropaSur, specialized cultural magazine Wiriko or the Spanish language section of BBC World Services.

¿Sabes por qué se celebra el día del hombre?” (“Do you know why Man’s Day is celebrated?”), 2009; BBC Mundo – Spanish language section of BBC World Services, UK.

Parallel to my work as an independent journalist, I have been applying my skills in social communication to promote internal and external information about the organizations I have work for. In this role, I have produced hundreds of original corporate news, interviews, audiovisual resources and press material about several international projects, as well as local initiatives. These are some few examples of my institutional communications production:

Equal Access International

I have participated in the creation of the new website of this international M4D (media for development) organization, as well as in the production of some of its corporate news and project stories.

Boletines oficiales de la Embajada de España en Nairobi, Kenia (Official bulletins of the Embassy of Spain in Kenya)

During my two years working at the Embassy of Spain in Kenya, I coordinated the writing and editing of the embassy’s biannual official bulletins (editions from 6 to 10).

FCAT news and África ES Cine blog

In 2009, I created the official blog of the African Film Festival of Tarifa-Tangier, FCAT. At the time, it was one of the first Spanish-language sites dedicated to the cinemas and the audiovisual sectors of Africa and its diaspora.
